Oh' Honey...

I am OBSESSED with honey right now. Not just any honey, but a jar of local honey that I bought from a gentleman. He brings this fabulous treat to our shop for us to sell....honey, honey, honey!!!!
It is so good...I can't stop eating it.....

Today alone I have had....

Several slices of toast with honey

Oatmeal with Cinnamon and honey

Green tea with honey

spoon with honey....

Butternut squash roasted with a drizzle of honey

I am obsessed! Yet another reason why I love the fall....Mr. Hazen brings me his honey!

Beautiful Stretch

We are having the most beautiful stretch of weather this past week. On top of the beautiful weather, we have had the most beautiful full moon all week! Yes, I said all week....it has gone on for days...It has been UNBELIEVABLE!! So bright and beautiful!

This is by far one of my favorite times of year...you are going to hear me say this every day for the next 3 months. If not every day, at least every other day!!!

We have enjoyed evening walks, outdoor movies and even an outdoor nap yesterday!! There was just enough chill in the evening air to put on a light sweatshirt!

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!

I feel the need to harvest. Too bad we are all our vegetables this summer and didn't save any for canning. There is always the farmers market on Thursday evening, I can score some harvesting veggies there. Replenish my depleted pantry.

Walking under the moonlight

Today or should I say tonight I took my walk under a full moon, and it was beautiful! So beautiful and peaceful.... I had been asking for a little peace in my life and luckily I am finding it seeping in here and there.

Tonight was a beautiful crisp evening, and the way that the moon reflected off the Bay brought peace and serenity to my day. I was able to remember and reflect on some of the things the kids said today. Hayden reminded me that today was the first day of September and asked if we could get apples from the "Apple Guy" and make homemade applesauce.. Lily told me not to talk to her with a "Sassy Mouth..."...my boys asked me to turn up a Chris Tomlin song on the way to Hayden's first soccer game....that was a good feeling, I like that they enjoy Christian music as much if not more than main stream rock & pop.

It was nice, and peaceful and I enjoyed it....

Hope your 1st day of September was as peaceful....
